Principius founder, Mick Stanic, will be joining a list of the leading figures from the Australian digital and interactive advertising and media industries when he presents a session at the 2005 Digital Advertising Summit which is being held on Wednesday the 6th and Thursday the 7th of July 2005 in Sydney, Australia.

Mick’s session, entitled "Innovation in digital marketing: four emerging commercial opportunities", will provide an insight into area’s that are only just starting to emerge in not only the Australian marketplace, but around the world as well.

“As the founder of Principius, one of the only organisations in the world dedicated to emerging technologies and their impact on, and in, the marketing and advertising world, my presentation will cover a number of diverse areas that will hopefully leave not only the audience, but hopefully the other speakers, eager to know more.”

During his 40 minute presentation, attendees at the conference will hear Mick speak about:

  • * The role of innovation and experimentation in the digital arena
  • * Harnessing the power of bloggers - the new opinion-makers
  • * Digital signage: the point-of-purchase revolution
  • * Advergaming: tapping into the multi-million-dollar gaming industry
  • * RSS/Podcast as the marketing tool of the future: sponsorship, embedded audio advertisements and weblinks

“The topics I am covering at the 2005 Digital Advertising Summit present a good spread of the lesser known, but more powerful, areas of today’s ‘digital media’ spectrum. These are the touch-points that the industry needs to be looking at, and they need to realise that they are available now, and not in five or ten years time as a lot of people seem to think. These, and other emerging technologies like them, are a few of the ways that you can now open a channel with the modern and varied customers that all of our clients need to reach today.”

Mick joins an impressive line up of speakers from the Australian digital and the traditional advertising and media industries such as: Martin Hoffman (CEO of ninemsn), Mark Henning (Managing Director of Nielson//NetRatings), Adam Good (Managing Director of Tribal DDB), Liam Walsh (Media Sales Director at Fairfax Digital), Lee Stephens (CEO of emitch), Mel Bohse (Managing Director of Overture), Joan Warner (CEO of Commercial Radio Australia) and many others.
