On the 7th of July, Principius founder Mick Stanic, presented a well received session at the 2005 Digital Advertising Summit which was held in Sydney Australia, over a two day period.
During his one hour presentation, a number of the leading people from Australia's digital advertising and marketing industry listened on as Mick spoke about the role of innovation and experimentation in the digital arena, RSS and subscription technologies, the power of blogs, Podcasting and advergaming.
"Its always interesting seeing peoples reaction when i talk about the power of RSS, blogs and podcasting and put them into a communications perspective. There is still a big perception that technologies like blogs are only being used by 14 year-olds keeping online diaries, so relevant examples of companies like Microsoft, General Motors, AMEX, Boeing and Purina using these tools always seem to hit home. The whole advergaming or in-game advertising scenario also got a great response." said the Principius Founder.
The lucky attendees also got to see a ten minute demonstration of a new technology that Principius is working on called "ARM", or Augmented Reality Marketing.
"When ever I show something like ARM technology to a group of pretty savvy people and see ther eyes light-up, it makes me remember that sometimes all the industry needs is some educating to make it understand that these sorts of advances are not ten years away...the future is truly closer than most people realise."
